This is me

I have nearly two decades of hands-on experience taking productions from concept to completion, leading projects through every stage of pre-production, production, post-production, distribution and marketing.

An experienced storyteller, my work spans montages, short and long form features, vignettes, promos and commercials, podcasts, studio and field production, and live shows and show segments. Adept at meeting tight deadlines, my work has been featured via traditional linear distribution as well as OTT and digital networks and social media and podcast platforms.

My ability to effectively develop talent- both on-air and behind-the-scenes- showcases my ability to manage teams and personnel in all areas of production and journalism. I enjoy watching my team expand their skillsets as we complete assigned tasks as well as contributing original content and projects.

Stories are universal. Everyone wants to know the 'why' behind what gets people going, and it's easy to find commonalities where they may not be obvious. I use this tactic in the stories I tell, and in how I lead teams-- learning about what gets my team excited to come to work helps me bring out the best in them, which helps bring out the best in me. I've learned that I'm most effective as a leader when I have a clear understanding of what motivates my team, and how they best received communication as individuals and as a group.

Prior to entering the professional world, I earned my B.A. in Cinema-Television from Southern Methodist University where I was a scholarship-member of the women’s rowing team after transferring from Iowa State University where I was on the Dean’s List as a member of the women’s track and field team. I also have my M.S. in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University and hold a certification from Northwestern University in Leading Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and a certificate from USF in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace.
